make it crafty freebie....

hi lovelies, well I firstly have to apologise for the lack of posts here on my blog, it has been a bit all over the place here at the moment.

Maya had her bowel biopsy last Friday, she did so well and woke up from the anaesthetic and had 2 slice of toast, 2 biscuits and a tub of ice-cream, while all the other kids there were being sick or crying and really upset, she just gave everyone her big smile and was fine!! We need to wait around 10 to 14 days for the results.

Then I managed to get food poisoning from prawns on Friday night and spent all day Saturday being very, very ill, all day in bed on Sunday too. It took me till Tuesday to finally eat a meal! It has put me off prawns for life now!

So I have finally managed to get some colouring done at last, the gorgeous image I have used is going to be a freebie from Zoe at Make it crafty. She will be free on Friday (today) for just 24 hours on the Make it Crafty fan page on Facebook. So make sure you don't miss out!!!

Finally! a card!!!

Morning lovelies! Well I have finally gotten round to making stuff! I have had the most awful 3 weeks, and I don't think I can honestly take much more being flung at me. It always is a difficult time of year with the anniversary of Charlie's death, but we also lost another family member the Saturday after new year.

On top of that we have been going through a tough time with Maya, my youngest. She has been steadily losing weight for around 5/6 months, and after several trips to Dr's they finally referred her to the hospital after the Christmas week when she lost about a kilo in 5 days. We spent the whole day there last Wednesday having tests done. They were very concerned about her and the first tests had to be to rule out leukaemia, which I had been very scared it might be. Thankfully the result was negative.

We have had a result back yesterday that confirms a possibility of Coeliac disease. She will now have to go for a biopsy to confirm this diagnosis.

And now my FIL has been admitted to hospital with chest pains and has been kept in for tests.

I mean really, how much can one person have to cope with???

I am very lucky to have amazing friends especially Sara, whom I love dearly and who has helped me cope, so thank you Sara it means more than you will ever know.

Also thanks to Mel and Lisa too for just being there for me

And speaking of friends I love dearly, I have to mention the MDUC girls, I wont go into details, but what they did for me the other day, I have no words to say how much it means to me, I love you girls so much and one day we will all meet up and have those hugs xxx

Ok well I hope you have stuck with me blethering on as I do have a card to share!

I have had this image coloured up for weeks and finally put it onto a card.

Charlie

In memory of Charlie my son.
24/07/2000 - 12/01/2010

God made a sweet child
a child who never grew old
He made a smile of sunshine
He molded a heart of pure gold.
He made that child as close to an angel
as anyone ever could be
God made a Sweet Child
and He gave that dear child to me
Then God saw His wonderful creation
growing very tired and weak
so He wrapped the child in His loving arms
and said, "You my child I keep"
But now my Sweet Child is an angel
Free from hurt and pain
I'll love you forever, until we meet again
So many times I have missed you
So many times I have cried
If all my love could have saved you
Sweet Child you never would have died.

Something New at Mo's...

Me again, no posts for ages then two in one day!

Ok its time for a new challenge over at Mo's and this week we want to see you use 'something new'. Could be a new stamp, new papers or a new die cut, the list goes on and on

Please remember that you must use a Mo's image to enter the challenge and the more entries there are the more winners ther are!

Here is my card, I have used 'Perfection'. This is my eldest sisters birthday card, so Jane if you are reading this LOOK AWAY NOW!!!

I have gone a bit mad with the red gingham, but it just really reminded me of an cooking apron! Lol

New design team....

Morning lovelies, well I have some good news to share with you all, plus a little teaser of even more good news that I will be able to share with you tomorrow!

I had a very lovely email from Barbara from Little Miss Muffet Challenge blog saying that she loved my work and would I be interested in joining the team. I had a little think over christmas about it, visited the teams blogs and the challenge blog and decided I would love to be a part if this great team and get to play with the cute images. So of course I said yes!

The theme for this week is 'Winter Birthdays' so a nice easy one for you to join in. You dont even need to use a LMM image although we would love it if you do. If you enter with a LMM image you dont have to follow the theme, you can just do 'anything goes'.

What a clever way to run a challenge I thought!

So here is my card, I have used 'Cadrian' isn't she gorgeous?

show us your crafty space...

Evening lovelies, welcome to my first post for 2013, I hope you have all had a lovely festive period, unfortunately I have been in bed ill since Saturday as I caught the dreaded flu! We have all had it over christmas so its not been the best christmas sadly. I am feeling better today but still not 100%, hopefully the worst of it has passed.
We have a new fun challenge for you over at deep ocean challenge this time, we would like to you to share your crafty space with us. I have already shared my craft space with you before after my craft room was finished so if you click on the tab above for my craft room it will take you to bigger pictures, but here is a little collage of my crafty space.
We all like to have a good nosey around each others space, so I hope you can join in. Its always great to see how other people store things like ribbons etc.
