Distressing at DP2 challenge

Good morning lovelies, well that's Meghan back at school and Alex is now on his 3rd day at school, and he seems to be loving it, just hope he feels the same when he has to go full days next week! Maya is not so happy, she is missing Alex and she was the one howling at the gates when he started on tuesday, not me! lol Bless her!
I did post some pics on my facebook page of his first day, i will try to post them here soon too.
Ok, its time for a new challenge over at Mo's digital challenge (DP2), and this week the theme is
DISTRESSING
I got so very excited when I found this image in Mo's shop called  Prince Edward Island. I am the hugest fan of Anne of Green Gables, I have loved the books and tv series since I was 11, I still have the original set of books my Dad bought for me, and I re-read them at least twice a year. I have a wish of visiting Prince Edward island, and I hope some day that will come true. Anyway enough of me blethering (chatting for those who dont understand scottish!! lol)
here is my card, I used a quote from the book as my sentiment too.

Oh Kat this is wonderful! I'm a big Anne fan too. My gr-gr+ grandfather was supposed to have come from Scotland to Prince Edward Island many moons ago although I haven't been able to prove it. I think that helped spur on my love of the story. :-)
The soft yellows and purples are such a pretty mix of color. Lovely card sweetie! Hugs!

This is gorgeous Kat and you've done the PEI-ers proud with this card. Yep, we do love our Anne of Green Gables from east coast to west.
Love all your embellishments and that's some awesome colouring!

Hi Kat! This is just precious! And I totally get the AOGG thing. My daughter adores those books. The island itself is missing some of the magic I'm told and isnt much in comparison to what Scotland has to offer. :)

I love this card, Kat! The colors you've chosen look great with her red hair, and the daisies and lace are perfect with Anne!
