Finally! a card!!!

Morning lovelies! Well I have finally gotten round to making stuff! I have had the most awful 3 weeks, and I don't think I can honestly take much more being flung at me. It always is a difficult time of year with the anniversary of Charlie's death, but we also lost another family member the Saturday after new year.

On top of that we have been going through a tough time with Maya, my youngest. She has been steadily losing weight for around 5/6 months, and after several trips to Dr's they finally referred her to the hospital after the Christmas week when she lost about a kilo in 5 days. We spent the whole day there last Wednesday having tests done. They were very concerned about her and the first tests had to be to rule out leukaemia, which I had been very scared it might be. Thankfully the result was negative.

We have had a result back yesterday that confirms a possibility of Coeliac disease. She will now have to go for a biopsy to confirm this diagnosis.

And now my FIL has been admitted to hospital with chest pains and has been kept in for tests.

I mean really, how much can one person have to cope with???

I am very lucky to have amazing friends especially Sara, whom I love dearly and who has helped me cope, so thank you Sara it means more than you will ever know.

Also thanks to Mel and Lisa too for just being there for me

And speaking of friends I love dearly, I have to mention the MDUC girls, I wont go into details, but what they did for me the other day, I have no words to say how much it means to me, I love you girls so much and one day we will all meet up and have those hugs xxx

Ok well I hope you have stuck with me blethering on as I do have a card to share!

I have had this image coloured up for weeks and finally put it onto a card.

Oh Kat,
These things always seem to come at once. I saw that it was Charlie's anniversary the other day.
I bet it was a relief that it wasn't leukaemia, I hope they get a definite diagnosis, there's nothing worse than the not knowing, and I hope your FIL is on the mend.
Sending you big hugs.
Your card is gorgeous, as always Hun,
Hugs, Becky x

Hi Kat,
I've just seen this gorgeous card, so bright and cheerful on FB, so I thought I'd pop over and say "hi". So sorry to read about your difficult time, not an easy start into the new year. :-( Thinking of you and I hope that from now on you'll only have happy news and laughter, and I do hope Maya gets better now that you have a diagnosis.

Sending you lots of hugs,
Sandy xx

Beautiful card!! I love those colors together--they just shout happiness! I'm sorry to hear about Maya's illness... make sure they rule out Crohn's disease, also. My daughter was diagnosed with it when she was very young and it was plenty scary. She will be turning 30 this year and is pretty healthy now--very thin, but 2 boys, a hubby, full-time job, and half-time school, plus all the boys' activities...well, you get the picture. 'Hope she fairs well... keep us posted... hugs
