Fancy Folds..

Morning again, I am back with my second dt card for today, my 1st one for crafty creations is below.
Its time for a new challenge over at The Paper Shelter. This challenge is for fancy fold cards, so lots of scope for play there. The prize is for a $20 gift certificate to use in the paper shelter shop. If you use a non paper shelter image you can still win a prize, you would get 3 digis of your choice from the shop. So either way its a great prize
I chose to make a twisted easel card, I had big plans for this challenge but as I had a major battle on my hands with my printer,(which I finally won!!) all I had time for was to make one of these. Remember to pop over to the challenge blog and see the dts work, lots of gorgeous fancy folds.

I will be back tomorrow with a little blog candy to celebrate my birthday.

hope you can join us xx

Vintage fashion...

Good morning everyone, thank you all for your lovely comments yesterday, they mean a lot xx
Its time for a new challenge over at Crafty Creations. Our challenge is Vintage fashion, our sponsor is the fabulous Digi doodle Shop, who are offering a prize of $10 to spend in the shop. They also gave the dt some fab images to play with. I chose 1800 vintage dress, which I coloured with copics and flexmarkers
I used Melissa Frances 5th Avenue dps as these worked so well with the image and theme.

The stickles makes the flowers on her hat look black in the picture, its not like that in real life lol

Hope you can join us.

A rainbow fairy...

Good morning lovely blog friends,I hope you are all well. I don't really have much news to share today, I am feeling a bit down at the moment, I was hoping a crafty play last night would have cheered me up, but nope, still feeling low.
I think, well no actually I know the reason, I find the times around birthdays and Christmas very difficult, I miss Charlie all the time but I feel like we are not a complete family at times when family is important, like birthdays etc. So sorry for being down like this from time to time but it does help putting my feelings into words and sharing them.
I do hope you don't mind..

Anyhoo, why dont I share a card that I made, I came across this image the other week when doing my commenting, and before you could say Teen Fairy Mia, I hopped over to Mo's digital pencil shop and bought her!!!! She is very lovely and I decided to give her a rainbow dress. I was quite happy with how it turned out, but then I decided to spritz it with shimmer mist, doh!! its gone a bit blotchy and I ripped the doily as it was damp, but lets just say thats what I wanted to happen! lol
I wont tell if you dont

An Award..

Hi again, I have been very lucky to be nominated not once but twice for the Liebster blog award! I wanted to say a big thank you to the two lovely ladies who have nominated me,  Alyce of Kit and Clowder and Wendy from Flowergirl cards. Thank you so much both of you.

the idea of the Liebster Blog Award is to spread the love from one small blog (under 200 followers) to other small blogs. This helps to spread knowledge and readership.

To accept the award, you must:

1) Link back to the person who gave it and thank them for thinking of you.

2) Post the award to your blog.

3) Give the award to 5 bloggers (with less than 200 followers) that you appreciate and value.

4) Leave a comment on the blogs of the five people you have chosen to let them know.

"Liebster" in German means "dearest", so to carry on the Liebster tradition, I am going to pass the award on to 5 people who's blogs have been an inspiration to me and my crafting.

I have 'met' so many wonderful bloggers since I started this blog,  so picking 5 has been quite difficult,  but here are the 5 I have chosen, in no particular order

Marjorie from foxy cards
Kelly from Kellys cards

Morning lovely bloggers,  I do hope you are all well. Gosh can you believe that we are almost into March!!! where has the month gone? It only feels like yesterday it was the 1st of jan! lol Not that Im complaining as hopefully getting into March will bring some lovely spring weather, and of course i like march as its when my birthday is!! yipeee. I am goining to be the ripe old age of 38!!! on the 1st, why do i still feel like Im 20 in my head? lol Oh dear, just think 2 more years and I will be 40!! not looking forward to that one. Well actually I am as Meghan will be 18 the same year and we have decided as our present we are going to New York, woohoo cant wait for that. Hubby is a bit put out cause we said we were going on our own, but he cant argue now as he is off to munich in October, to go to oktoberfest.
I have another saturated canary card to share today with you, this one is called Honey, she is just so sweet. I have coloured her with prismas as i havent used them for ages. I wanted to give her a soft vintage look and I think prismas really work with that look. I have used prima sparkling spring papers which I have been trying to get my hands on for ages,  found them on ebay the other night so was a very happy girl! I just need to find pink paislee butterfly garden pad now and I would be even happier. I added a little ruffle of seam binding along the edge of the image, I will definitely do this again as its gorgeous.

A shabby chic birthday card

Morning everyone, well who watched the brits last night? Wasnt Adele just stunning? she has the most powerful and amazing voice, as does florence and the machine, wow she gave me goosebumps!! lol not so great were Olly Murs and blur!! why on earth did they get sooooo long to say all their thank yous plus have an 11 minute performance at the end? I felt so sorry for Adele, she didnt get to say very much after winning the best album category. Also loved Ed sheeran, although i think nerves got the better of him.
I have a 60th birthday card to share today, this was a commission I had been given. I had just bought these gorgeous Kaisercraft birdcage stamps and they were perfect for this card.

Stamping Tilda...

Well, I was one happy lady today when the postie brought my new tildas!! I have been very excited about getting this new special stamp. I have several other images sitting with their matching papers on my desk just waiting to get made up into cards but I just couldnt wait to ink up this little cutie. I decided to paint with distress inks again, this is my first go with a tilda so be gentle with me lol!!

I am reasonably happy how she turned out, just not sure the skin is right but I will keep trying as I really love how relaxing this way of colouring is. And as I have been feeling a bit low the last couple of days this was what I needed.

Anyway, so here is my card, hope you like it,

Party time

Hi everyone I am back with another 'just because ' card. I was finishing dt cards and also an order for my sister last night, and I had this image just waiting to be put onto a card, so I thought I would get it done too.
So here is my card ,

I also thought I would share some pics we were taking yesterday. As I had said yesterday my youngest two fought all day on wednesday, Yet when you see the following pics you will think they are so happy and having fun, PLEASE DO NOT BE FOOLED!!! especially by Maya, she is one quick tempered, screaming the place down, throwing toys little girl, hmmm I wonder who she might get the quick temper from? I have no idea (smiling innocently!! lol)
Who me? not at all!
Grab a cuppa, get comfy and hopefully I will catch you at the end xx
How can you say no to this face???

It is almost impossible to get pics of alex, he will not stand still, hence the blurry pics!!!

The next to pics are the resulting Maya trying to escape Meghans grip!

I will share some of Meghans 'arty' pics another day, she def has an eye for taking pics, unlike me!
